« Gives you the basic road system »
I bought this software to use in my Garmin 60 CSx for a trip to Vietnam. We weren't going to be driving; it was a supported bicycle trip, so we didn't need to navigate. Basically, I was going to use it for Geocaching, and for that purpose it worked well.

The world map at least gave me the major and some minor roads, so I could orient myself in, say, Hanoi, to seek out a Geocache. Would it find the nearest hotel or Mickey D's? No.

I think it is a basic product that is useful where you can't find any better maps to use for a given region.

    « Crippled :-( »
I must say fist of all that Garmin have been great in the past with their support, but so far, this one is turning up to be a failure.
The one important thing about a map that'll have the route that is drawn on it sent to the GPS is to follow the track shape so you'll have an accurate result. This guy doesn't..You click on , say a city, & click on another point & you get a straight line...! Not much use really.
I've contacted Garmin about the problem about 5 days ago but no reply so far.. :-(
